Tayler Bailey

My name is Tayler Bailey and I am a RN working on 7W med-surg. I have only been a nurse at Sparrow since 2023. However, in that time I have helped start our unit’s UBC (unit-based council) and I am the current UBC chair. I also was a part of the negotiations team for the newest contract.

I’m running for Grievance Representative for group 5, MNA Delegate, and the Negotiating Team.

I have learned so much about the union, the contract, and the hospital in the past 2 years and would love to continue the role on the negotiating team. I am excited to hopefully take on the new positions of grievance rep and delegate as well. Thank you.

Apologies for my absence from the candidate forum this evening. I wished to have had the opportunity for many of those that do not know me to have a quick introduction, but I had family obligations that could not be rescheduled. I am eager to contribute my passion, energy, and fresh ideas to our continued forward progress. My primary motivation for seeking this leadership role is to serve as a strong advocate for each and every one of you. I want to ensure your voices are heard and your needs are met. I am committed to fostering a collaborative environment where we can work together to find effective and equitable resolutions to any challenges we may face.

I believe that fresh perspectives and innovative approaches are essential for growth and success. My goal is to work alongside you, leveraging our collective experience and knowledge, to build upon our existing strengths and explore new opportunities.

I am confident that, together, we can achieve great things. I am committed to open communication, transparency, and a commitment to serving your best interests. Thank you again for your support and consideration. I am excited about the potential of our future together.

In Solidarity,

Dexter Baker

I find it tough but rewarding and look forward to continuing this work.

Keep The MOMENTUM!

Re-Elect

JEFF BRESLIN RN

FOR PRESIDENT!

We stood together and were able to get one of, if not THE best contracts in the past 30 years.  This was not given to us and it was not a surprise when it happened.  The truth is, we were able to get this by standing TOGETHER with an INCREDIBLE authorization to strike followed by a 95% ratification of the subsequent contract!  THANK YOU!

We have more work to do.  The first step was getting a good contract so that we have language to support a good and safe work environment.  We cannot stop there because as we have seen, contract language is not enough.  We must start implementing live, in the moment actions to protect and support our rights that we have negotiated.  I have a plan for the next three years to help all of us understand what we can, and should do in the moment to help improve our work-life, all while being backed by the contract language, labor law, our elected PECSH leadership members as well as our MNA staff.

(Short staffing is NOT right and we need to work together to stop it!)

Susan Butler

I am Susan Butler, a physical therapist in adult OP Rehab at the SPB. I have been with Sparrow since 1996, first as an Athletic Trainer, and as a PT since 2005. I have been active with PECSH since the 2021 contract negotiation attending BAT meetings.

I was inspired to serve further by becoming a grievance rep for group 10. I have been on the executive team since October 2023 as the Healthcare Professional (HCP) Representative-at large, planning and hosting several meetings (in person with virtual option).

For the past several months I have been on the communications team for the PECSH Facebook group, monitoring posts and answering questions when able.

The most recent negotiation I served as a BAT chair, assisting the negotiating team and MNA organizers conduct informational meetings. I have also been a delegate for MNA House of Delegates (HOD).

This term I am also running to represent group 10 on the negotiating team for the next contract and have offered to be a write in candidate for the nominations committee.

In closing, I have enjoyed serving the members of PECSH in the role of HCP Rep-at large, group 10 grievance rep, and MNA delegate and I look forward to continuing to serve in the future.

Tracie Cullinan

My name is Tracie Cullinan! I’ve worked on Mother Baby since 2016. I’ve been married to my husband Mitchell for 14 years- we have 3 kids; Isaac (14), Matthew (11), and Grace (6). They keep us busy with soccer and gymnastics!

I am running for Negotiating Team. I served as your Group 1 Negotiating Team representative for the 2024 contract. I look forward to the opportunity to represent our group again if given the chance! I believe we were able to make huge gains and have a great contract to build on for next negotiations! I am also running for an MNA Delegate position. House of Delegates is an annual gathering where MNA delegates meet and vote on bylaws. I’ve had the opportunity to participate the past two years. I would love to have your vote in both of these areas, thank you!

Roger Doak - Group 10 Negotiating Team position

Hello, my name is Roger Doak and I am also glad to be nominated for the Group 10 Negotiating Team position.  I currently serve as a 2 year MNA House Delegate, I am also on the MNA Council on Legislative and Public Policy as well as participating in the 2025 MNA Advocacy Academy.

My drive in wanting to serve in this position comes from feeling marginalized and not thoroughly listened to as a dues paying member for a smaller subgroup of Healthcare Professionals.  I fully believe that as an equal dues paying member that ALL classifications of Healthcare Professionals should have an equal, loud, and represented voice during negotiations for our collective bargaining agreement.  I also fully believe that an emphasis in proactive polling and collecting feedback from differing classifications should be greatly bolstered to make sure Healthcare Professionals have the best chance at negotiating during a contract to make demands for changes that impact issues specific to them that otherwise may be drowned out by larger member groups.

I personally tend to have a large and loud presence and am not afraid to speak for myself and others when appropriate.  I truly appreciate your consideration to have the great opportunity to ask for what is fair, safe and beneficial for all of us by being a Negotiating Committee Member for Group 10.

Roger Doak - MNA Delegate position

Hello, my name is Roger Doak and I have served as a MNA Delegate the past 2 years.  It has been a great experience, and I would like to continue to serve as a Delegate to continue serving the union and gaining experience in these types of matters.

Roger Doak - Healthcare Professional Representative position

Hello, my name is Roger Doak and I am excited to be nominated for the Healthcare Professional Representative position.  I currently serve as a 2-year MNA House Delegate, I am also on the MNA Council on Legislative and Public Policy as well as participating in the 2025 MNA Advocacy Academy.

My adventures with wanting to be more involved with PESCH started post Covid as we all know how much that changed things.  Post Covid I realized that the union really fought for many of us healthcare professionals, so in return I wanted to give back and help strengthen the union the best I could in case that type of situation ever arose again.  I am working towards this goal by stepping forward and filling roles and positions when and where I can.

Having 15 years' experience here at UMH Sparrow as a Licensed Athletic Trainer as well as over a total of 25 years in healthcare if we tack on my old CNA days.  I have come across many different allied healthcare professionals and have heard and walked alongside so many experiences over the years, both good and bad.  These triumphs and struggles of those individuals in various professional fields, have given me a glimpse and understanding when listening to those challenges.

Let me have that opportunity to be an ally to listen and represent you to the best of my ability.  To give you a place to be heard and a platform for those specific issues that may not be understood outside of your professions.  Educating the administration on who we are, what we need, and how things can and should be improved is the goal I personally strive for.

I would like to thank you for your consideration of potentially allowing me to help improve representation across all of our Healthcare Professionals.  I truly look forward to this opportunity to continue to serve.

Kevin Glaza

Hello, I am Kevin Glaza. I have been a pharmacist at the hospital since 1998 and a PECSH member since my first day of employment. I became more involved with the union starting with the contraction negotiations in 2021. This experience led me to becoming the Vice President of PECSH, as well as a grievance representative and member of the finance committee, house of delegates, and nominations committee.

After such a positive experience on the negations in 2021, I just felt like I needed to be part of the 2024 negotiation team, especially since we would be having a new employer! This last negotiations made me feel like I have more to give, hence my bid to run for the negotiations team once again.

For this upcoming team, I intend on maintaining my grievance representative status and staying on the negotiations committee. I truly enjoy serving our Group 10. I would be honored to continue to serve you and appreciate you vote. Thank you.

Rebecca (Becky) Williams

It’s time to elect your next grievance representatives and negotiating team. I am certain that I can contribute to both a bedside and procedural nursing viewpoint at the negotiating table. I have kept myself up to date on the contract language throughout my years which will allow me to help support and guide my colleagues as a representative and a negotiating member.

My top priorities would be working conditions, safety and benefits. I am aware firsthand that healthcare work is a physical and emotionally taxing profession, so I am willing to get involved, so together we can make a difference. I have been a nurse at U of M Sparrow for 20 years.  I currently work in the HAVC-Cath lab and previously in CVSU and ORTHO/ NEURO.

Over the years, I have served on a restructuring committee, UBC committees and most recently the BATS committee. I would be honored to earn your vote for grievance representative and negotiating committee member to represent the healthcare professionals for PECSH-MNA.

Please reach out via text or email if you have any questions for me. Thank you for your consideration. Rebecca (Becky) Williams BSN, RN Williamsrk17@gmail.com 989-666-7384
