Position sought: Vice President
Name: Jackie Walker
Jackie Walker

Hello, my name is Jackie Walker, and I am a Medical Laboratory Scientist with UMH-Sparrow and the current Vice President of PECSH. I respectfully ask for your continued support and vote. I have served in this role for the past three years and have been a union member since its inception in 1988, bringing 38 years of experience and dedication to our union.

I previously served as the Health Care Professional Representative and have more than 20 years of experience as a Grievance Representative, advocating for members and ensuring our contract is upheld. I am highly knowledgeable and well-versed in the contract and have participated in contract negotiations, both at the bargaining table and as a member of the BATs team.

In addition, I currently serve on the Michigan Nurses Association Board of Directors and the Michigan Nurses Foundation Board of Directors, allowing me to remain actively engaged at both the local and state levels.

Positions sought: Delegate
Name: Jon Hayden
Jon Hayden

Last year I served as a delegate alternate. Due to an absence, I was activated as delegate. Having participated in last year's delegation, I am interested in representing PECSH as a delegate again. I have spent the last year serving as a grievance representative in the ED and feel that I would bring considerable experience and an understanding of the stance of the PECSH membership regarding the various issues discussed at the Delegate Convention

Position sought: Grievance Chairperson
Name: Leah Rasch
Leah Rasch

I am running for Grievance Chair after proudly serving in this role for the past year and a half. I have been a Registered Nurse for six and a half years, working as a Med-Surg on 7 West, which has given me firsthand experience with the challenges our members face every day on the floor.

I have truly enjoyed this position and the responsibility that comes with advocating for our membership. It has been an honor to represent my colleagues, address concerns, and work toward fair and just outcomes.

If elected, I will continue to push issues forward with our employer, stand firm in protecting our contract, and fight for what is right for our members. My commitment remains to ensure every voice is heard and every concern is taken seriously.

Position sought: Delegate and Secretary
Genevieve Bancroft
Gen Bancroft

My name is Genevieve Bancroft. I am a RN working as a Clinical Documentation Specialist. I have been a nurse at Sparrow since 2005, working on 7 Foster and OB Special Care.

I grew up in a strong union home and have been committed to raising my son in one!

I’ve served our members in PECSH as a grievance representative, MNA Delegate and a Negotiating Team member for the 2021 and 2024 contracts. I have also served on the Nominations committee and as Communications Chair/Co-chair in recent years.

I look forward to continuing this work and helping to strengthen our union.
